I have been in Vietnam for the past two days presenting information about the theory of multiple intelligences to pediatricians and other health care professionals. Yesterday (November 22), I was in Hanoi and spoke to about 220 HCPs at the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel about the ‘’Eight Kinds of Smart.’’ Today, I was in Ho Chi Minh City at the Gem Center and presented the same information to around 350 HCPs. Each conference also included a presentation by Dr. Thai Thanh Thuy, who spoke about the importance of multiple intelligences in the learning and development of Vietnamese children. During my talks, I mentioned that I would make the handouts from my presentations available to those who attended the conferences. If you would like to download the handouts (Vietnamese version), click here.
I want to thank the Vietnam Pediatric Association and Wyeth Nutrition for co-sponsoring the two events. I feel very honored to have been able to travel to Vietnam (my first visit), and to have learned something about the rich cultural history and traditions of the Vietnamese people. I will carry my fond memories of this trip home with me, and will look forward to coming back to Vietnam in the near future!
