I’m making a series of videos to introduce my new book The Power of Neurodiversity: Unleashing the Advantages of Your Neurodivergent Brain (Completely Revised and Updated Second Edition). In this video, I take the viewer through some of the key events of the neurodiversity movement, which has its roots in the disability rights movement of the 1960’s-1980’s. The term was coined in 1998 and has skyrocketed in popularity ever since. Using a timeline, I chart some of the key events that helped the term become part of mainstream culture.
