Photo of very colorful and creative abstract paintingIn this brief video I introduce visual-spatial intelligences (or Picture Smart), which is one of the eight intelligences in Dr. Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences.  I point out that this intelligence, while not used much in the schools, is becoming more and more valuable out in the work world where fields such as microbiology, genetics, engineering, and other sciences and technologies benefit from those who are highly developed in this area.

For more information about multiple intelligences, get my practical guides to MI theory for adult learners (7 Kinds of Smart), educators who teach children from kindergarten through high school (Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom, 4th edition), and parents (In Their Own Way).    Follow me on Twitter:  @Dr_Armstrong.  Sign up for my blog.
