This video presents a clear case for school reform based on how Albert Einstein might implement changes. It presents 12 school-based interventions using supporting quotations from Albert Einstein’s writings. The 12 ways include: focusing on imagination, opening children to a sense of wonder, promoting individuality over standardization, putting play back in preschool and kindergarten, emphasizing tolerance and compassion, cultivating reverence for all living things, feeding children’s curiosity, emphasizing creativity, exciting a lifelong passion for learning, developing an appreciation of beautiful things, and focusing on strengths of students with special needs. Each intervention is described and practical examples are presented of how schools can implement these changes. The video is based upon Thomas Armstrong’s new book: If Einstein Ran the Schools: Revitalizing U.S. Education (Praeger Publishers).
